To Be Alone and Community Relationships

Loneliness, the absence of real community and relationships, has a universal understanding. Every soul, whether Christian or not, knows the longing the accompanies loneliness. Similarly, every soul knows the satisfaction that accompanies real community and relationships.

This week, at junior high, we are adressing the Truth Is…You Don’t Have To Be Alone.

“God has made us for relationships, and we only begin to experience life fully when we move toward healthy relationships and healthy community. Your soul will never be satisfied with anything less.” (Erwin McManus)

“Now I’m standing alone in a crowded room.” (Taylor Swift)

As Harry Potter understood when he said to Voldemort, “You will never know love or friendship. And I feel sorry for you.”

“When a person has no other persons he invents them because he was not designed to be alone, because it isn’t good for a person to be alone.” (Donald Miller)

“It is not good for man to be alone.” (God)
