You feel like a prisoner to sin, unhealthy emotion, etc.
In other words: You aren’t free.
If this is you, then Free Book by Brian Tome is a book you should read.
As followers of Christ, we are told that Jesus came to set the captives free. Why then, Tome asks, are so many Christians struggling to experience the kind of freedom God wants us all to experience?
According to Tome, freedom is possible. In fact, God wants it. Freedom isn’t for later. It’s for now. Of course, it’s going to take a lot of work, patience, and endurance. It will take an offensive spiritual attack on the enemy. It will take unbalancing your life long enough to slam your shoulder into the bondage.
But freedom is possible.
The best part of the book was Tome’s ability to describe the balance of grace and truth. In order to be free, we must be people who equally communicate grace AND truth.
If you are an avid reader of Christian books, this book might not be for you. For one, it is overly simple at times. Further, any time someone writes a book without a significant amount of biblical sourcing and other sourcing, it requires trust in the author’s opinions.
However, if you are someone who struggles with freedom or doesn’t fully understand what God wants for you in THIS lifetime, I believe you will appreciate Tome’s candor and down to earth writing style.
